Florida’s New ICMC Program Is Now Available Statewide
Eligible adults with developmental disabilities can now consider a voluntary managed-care alternative to remaining on the iBudget pre-enrollment list.
The short version: ICMC can provide coordinated Medicaid services, but enrolling removes the person from the iBudget pre-enrollment list. Families should compare providers, continuity protections, and return rights before choosing.
Who should pay attention
Adults age 18 or older who meet Florida Medicaid and developmental-disability requirements and are in any iBudget pre-enrollment category.
What changed
- Florida launched the voluntary ICMC program statewide.
- Enrollment is handled through Florida Medicaid Choice Counseling, not by choosing an iBudget waiver slot.
- Florida says a participant may return to the iBudget pre-enrollment list and, after at least one year, may have a route to iBudget or the LTC waiver under program rules.
