Quick answer

Start here

Call Florida Medicaid Choice Counseling at 1-877-711-3662 and choose option 4. Before enrolling, confirm eligibility, compare plan networks and covered supports, and make sure you understand that enrollment removes the person from the iBudget pre-enrollment list.

What to have in front of you

  • Medicaid ID and APD information
  • Current doctors, therapists, pharmacies, direct-care providers, and equipment suppliers
  • Medicines and active prior authorizations
  • Current service plans and weekly support hours
  • Authorized-representative paperwork, if applicable

What to say when someone answers

“I want to review ICMC enrollment. Please verify eligibility, tell me which plans serve the county, check these providers and services, explain continuity of care, and state exactly what enrollment does to the iBudget pre-enrollment status.”

Small but useful: Write down the person’s name, the date, the exact next step, and when you should call again.

Do this in order

  1. 1

Confirm that the person is 18 or older, Florida- and Medicaid-eligible, has a qualifying developmental disability, and is in an iBudget pre-enrollment category.

  2. 2

Ask each available plan to verify essential providers and services; do not rely only on an online directory.

  3. 3

Record the selected plan, enrollment confirmation number, effective date, and transition contact.

  4. 4

Call current providers before the effective date and make a plan for prescriptions, equipment, and services already authorized.

What happens next

Choice Counseling completes the voluntary plan selection. The ICMC plan should contact the member to assess needs and coordinate covered services. Network and authorization rules may differ from current arrangements.

If they say “we’ll put you on the list”

If a critical provider is not in network or a service transition is unclear, pause enrollment and ask Choice Counseling and the plan for a written continuity answer. Immediate danger or loss of essential care needs a same-day escalation.
