How to Apply for Florida SNAP Food Assistance Through MyACCESS

Apply through Florida MyACCESS for Food Assistance (SNAP). Save the application number and upload every verification DCF requests; a SNAP interview may be required after submission.
What to have in front of you
- Photo identification
- Social Security numbers and dates of birth for household members
- Recent notices, bills, or account numbers connected to the request
- A simple list of income, insurance, and household information
- A place to save confirmation numbers and names
What to say when someone answers
“I need to apply for SNAP. Please tell me whether my application is on file, whether an interview is required, and exactly which verifications are still missing.”
Small but useful: Write down the person’s name, the date, the exact next step, and when you should call again.
Do this in order

Create or sign in to MyACCESS and choose Food Assistance.

List everyone who buys and prepares food together and answer the income and expense questions accurately.

Submit even if one document is not ready so DCF can establish the application date, then upload requested verification promptly.

Check the portal for interview instructions, notices, and deadlines.
What happens next
DCF reviews eligibility and may schedule an interview. Notices and document requests appear in MyACCESS; approved households receive EBT instructions.
If they say “we’ll put you on the list”
If the portal shows no movement, call with the application number. Ask whether an interview or verification is holding the case and request the exact due date.
