Apply for regular Florida Medicaid through MyACCESS. If the person needs nursing-home or home-and-community-based long-term care, select the relevant HCBS/Waiver or Nursing Home option and expect additional screening steps.
What to have in front of you
- Photo identification
- Social Security numbers and dates of birth for household members
- Recent notices, bills, or account numbers connected to the request
- A simple list of income, insurance, and household information
- A place to save confirmation numbers and names
What to say when someone answers
“I submitted a Medicaid application on [date]. Please confirm the program I applied for, whether the application is complete, and the exact verification or interview still needed.”
Small but useful: Write down the person’s name, the date, the exact next step, and when you should call again.

What happens next
