How to Check Your Florida Medicaid Application Status
Use the existing MyACCESS case first; duplicate applications can make an already-confusing process harder.
Start here
Sign in to MyACCESS to view status, notices, and requested verification. If the case is unclear, call DCF at 850-300-4323 with the application or case number and ask what specific step is still pending.
What to have in front of you
- Application or case number
- Submission date
- Applicant name, date of birth, and address
- Upload confirmations
- Every notice and deadline
What to say when someone answers
“I am checking Medicaid application [number], submitted [date]. Is it complete, which agency or verification is pending, and what is the next deadline?”
Small but useful: Write down the person’s name, the date, the exact next step, and when you should call again.
Do this in order
- 1
Open the existing MyACCESS case and read Messages and Notices.
- 2
Check whether an interview or verification is due.
- 3
Upload missing proof inside the existing case and save confirmation.
- 4
Call if the status and notices conflict.
What happens next
DCF may confirm the case is processing, request proof, refer part of the decision to another agency, or issue an eligibility notice.
If they say “we’ll put you on the list”
Ask for the exact missing item and due date. Do not submit a duplicate case unless instructed; request escalation if proof was timely uploaded but not matched.
