How to Make an NFCAA LIHEAP Appointment Online or by Phone
NFCAA uses an appointment system, and openings depend on available LIHEAP funding.

If the household lives in Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam, or St. Johns County, use NFCAA’s online appointment scheduler or call 904-362-8052. The automated line is available 24/7, appointments may be scheduled up to 14 calendar days ahead, and live operator help is listed from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern when funding and appointments are available.
What to have in front of you
- Utility bill showing the customer name, service address, account number, and amount due
- Past-due, shutoff, or deposit notice connected to the emergency
- Photo identification and household information requested by NFCAA
- Income proof for household members
- Any NFCAA self-declaration or utility-certification form that applies
What to say when someone answers
“I live in [county] and need an NFCAA LIHEAP appointment for a [past-due, shutoff, or deposit] problem. Are appointments open, and which documents and forms must be complete before the appointment?”
Small but useful: Write down the person’s name, the date, the exact next step, and when you should call again.

Download the current application and required-document list from NFCAA and prepare the complete packet before the appointment.
What happens next
NFCAA reviews household, income, utility, and emergency information. When approved, LIHEAP assistance is paid to the utility company. Appointment and funding availability can change.
If they say “we’ll put you on the list”
Try the scheduler again when new appointments may be released, call during live-operator hours, and contact the utility about a payment arrangement or hold. Use 211 for other current emergency-energy programs while NFCAA intake is closed.
