How to Apply for BayCare Financial Assistance
How to request BayCare’s application, prepare financial proof, and confirm which providers the approval covers.
Start here
Call BayCare Financial Assistance at 855-233-1555 or request help through its financial-assistance page. Ask for the application and the provider-coverage list because outside physician bills may not follow BayCare’s hospital policy.
What to have in front of you
- BayCare account numbers and dates of service
- Household size and income documentation
- Insurance or Medicaid information
- Tax return, pay records, or support documentation requested on the application
- Separate bills from physicians, radiology, anesthesia, or other providers
What to say when someone answers
“I need to apply for financial assistance for BayCare services. Please send the current application and tell me the deadline, required income proof, and which provider bills are included.”
Small but useful: Write down the person’s name, the date, the exact next step, and when you should call again.
Do this in order
- 1
Request the current application and policy.
- 2
List every BayCare and outside-provider bill from the visit.
- 3
Submit the signed application with readable proof and retain delivery confirmation.
- 4
Ask when a decision is expected and whether collections activity is paused during review.
What happens next
BayCare reviews household income, family size, insurance, and eligible services under its policy. It may request additional proof before deciding.
If they say “we’ll put you on the list”
Ask for the missing item in writing and a reasonable submission deadline. Contact separately billed providers and request their own assistance policies.
