How to Apply for Transportation Disadvantaged Service in Monroe County
Apply when disability, age, income, or another qualifying barrier prevents a person from providing or purchasing transportation.

Call the Guidance/Care Center at 305-434-7660 and choose option 2. It is Monroe County’s Community Transportation Coordinator and can explain the Transportation Disadvantaged application, required verification, fares, and service rules.

Ask what eligibility, documents, assessment, and current funding or capacity apply.

Record the staff name, reference number, next action, and follow-up date.

Use the listed backup route if the program is closed, full, or not the correct door.
